One month old!

Today Emmaus is one month old! I cannot believe how fast it has gone, and at the same time it feels like she has always been with us. I don't know how our lives had meaning before she came. She is such a delightful baby. She is mostly happy (or sleeping). She has begun to be very alert and she looks all around taking in her surroundings. She nurses 8-12 times a day depending on the day. She mostly sleeps at night waking only to eat (unless it is a "bad" night in which she will be awake but happy). She smiled for the first time on 7/24 while being entertained by my parents ceiling fan. She has begun to coo occasionally as well. She is still sleeping in our room in the pack & play "napper" accessory. She still is having to do sponge baths which she doesn't care for- due to her cord still hanging on. STUBBORN THING!

She is a delight and I am so glad that God blessed us by adding her to our family.
